Contrast Crescents by Petr Strnad brings a large distressed-looking black curve into contact with a broad red form. A pale circular opening sits between them, providing a quiet center within the stronger contrasting shapes.

The black area has a broken, speckled appearance that differs from the flatter red field. Their opposing curves create movement around the central opening while the cream background keeps the palette focused.
