In the Beginning by Mark Russell Jones layers coral and ocher haze above a subdued teal band and dark lower edge. The square composition shifts gradually between warm and cool tones, with faint streaks adding depth to the softly blended fields.
The central coral area gives the image a gentle focal point, while the cooler band below creates a horizon-like separation. Its restrained outlines leave the scene open to interpretation.
