Roundism - 10-03-18 by Corné Akkers merges a horizontal figure with a field of flowing, wave-like shapes. A head and raised arm remain visible toward one side as the rest of the composition opens into broad pale curves.
Soft shading gives the surrounding forms a buoyant, fluid quality. Darker contours define selected edges, allowing the figure to emerge gradually from the abstraction rather than sit apart from it.
