Roundism - 13-03-18 by Corné Akkers fills a close figure study with bright curved planes of yellow, turquoise and warm color. Rounded volumes and sharper edges intersect across the torso and surrounding space.

Softly blended shading gives the colorful forms depth, while the changing directions keep the composition active. The figure remains recognizable within the abstraction, creating a balance between anatomy and a more independent pattern of shapes.
