Roundism - 26-10-19 by Corné Akkers focuses closely on a reclining figure, with a bent arm and hand extending across the lower part of the image. Rounded body contours rise into bright highlights against deeper gray shading.
Broad curved forms create a sculptural effect, while the more detailed hand provides a recognizable point of reference. The cropped view directs attention toward the relationship between the figure's volumes and the surrounding negative space.
