Roundism - 28-10-22 by Corné Akkers transforms a reclining figure into rounded volumes and flowing folds. The body and surrounding forms appear to merge, with pale highlights rising from softly shaded gray areas.
The close composition alternates smooth curves with sharper divisions. Small recognizable details ground the image, while the larger modeled shapes give it a sculptural presence that sits between figure study and abstraction.
