Stripes of Chaos by Petr Strnad sets bold red horizontal bars within a dense field of black and cream marks. Fine vertical lines and broken, worn-looking patches create a layered surface around the central stripes.
The red forms provide a clear rhythm, but their interrupted edges keep the design from feeling regular. The resulting tension between repetition and disruption gives this graphic abstraction a forceful, industrial-looking character.
